Steve Baggish, MS, LMHC, LMFT
Steve Baggish, MS, LMHC, LMFT (he/his/him) brings a wealth of clinical knowledge and experience to Strong Roots Counseling. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Education from the University of Connecticut and a Master’s in Marriage and Family Counseling from Central Connecticut State University. Steve has worked with individuals of all ages in various settings, including a psychiatric hospital, residential treatment, college campus, community-based agencies, and an outpatient psychotherapy practice. He holds a particularly positive view of human nature and people’s ability to change and grow and to act on the basis of their unique strengths and gifts. His academic program taught him to consider individuals in the context of their families and other systems, and subsequent training in CBT, Motivational Interviewing, and Psychodrama have further shaped his therapeutic approach. Steve has also completed a certificate in the use of CBT for the treatment of perinatal mood and anxiety disorders.
