Lauren Costello, MSN, PMHNP-BC (she/her) is a board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner who sees adolescents (18+) and adults, all genders, for psychopharmacology.  Lauren has experience with a wide range of psychiatric conditions and has particular skills in working with young adults as well as pregnant and nursing mothers.

Lauren has a passion for community mental health and completed a Fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital that trains practitioners to be leaders in delivering high quality, evidence based care to their local community.  In addition to her private practice and work for the Department of Mental Health, Lauren is a faculty member at Harvard Medical School where she provides clinical supervision and training to psychiatry residents.

Lauren’s practice combines careful psychiatric assessment and formulation of a clear case conceptualization to guide thoughtful prescribing.  She regularly considers the mind-body connection and acknowledges that sometimes simplifying or decreasing medications can prove more helpful than adding something new.
