Michele Adam, MSN, PMHNP-BC

Michele Adam, MSN, PMHNP-BC has her practice at Strong Roots Counseling. Michele is a board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner with 30 years of clinical experience in nursing. She graduated from University of Colorado’s School of Nursing, after which she worked as an RN in a variety of settings, including a hospital mother-baby unit, an outpatient women’s clinic, and an Early Intervention program. These experiences gave her an opportunity to explore the mother-baby relationship from multiple perspectives and left her with the firm belief that infant mental health is intricately dependent on maternal well-being. Michele decided to pursue graduate school to study this relationship from a theoretical and clinical viewpoint. In 2009, she was graduated from Boston College and began working as a psychiatric NP, treating adults in the outpatient setting with a strong focus on women’s mental health and the postpartum period. Michele also completed a certificate for the use of CBT for Perinatal Emotional Complications offered by Strong Roots Counseling and the two-day PSI Certificate.
