Zara Konarski, MSN, PMHNP-BC
Zara Konarski, she/her/hers, is a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner. Zara provides psychiatric evaluations and on-going treatment, as well as mental health counseling, to the late adolescent and young adult, and adult populations. Zara works to understand mental health concerns and symptoms through the biological, psychological, social and cultural/systemic dimensions of personhood. She uses a relational frame with integration of mindfulness and skills-based practices into the work. Zara's hope is that treatment always feels informative and collaborative, as she believes that it is when individuals have a sense of agency and empowerment in their care that they are most capable of achieving growth and change.
Zara graduated with a Masters of Nursing from the MGH Institute of Health Professions in 2007. Her clinical background includes a variety of practice settings, including inpatient psychiatric hospitals, youth residential facilities and group homes, community mental health clinics and college campuses. She provides LGBTQIA-informed, trauma informed, and neurodivergent affirming care and continues to work to uphold anti-racist values and practices in her clinical work.
